What If Analysis - Two way Data table in Excel

After discussing One way data table, let us proceed with Two way data table in Excel.

Here we want to check the Total amount for two input ranges, the principal and the rate of interest.
So let us create a table with Principal written column wise and Rate of interest written in row wise order.

Now at the Intersection of Rate of Interest and Principal, we will write the output value i.e in our case the Total amount.

Now select the table and go to Data Tab > What If analysis > Data table

Now, the Principal values are in column( Red color) so in column Input, we will enter the cell location of Principal,  where as in row (green color) we have Rate of interest, so we will enter the cell location of Rate of Interest in row input.

Click on OK to check the results.
